Planning Your Bridal Nails

There is a lot to think about when you are getting married, so here is how I usually suggest we approach your nails, to take one more thing off your list.

Six to twelve months before

Get in touch and let me know your date. Wedding season books up quickly here in Godmanchester and across Cambridgeshire, so an early message means your slot is safely held.

Four to six weeks before

This is the ideal moment for a trial. Bring photos of your dress, your flowers and your colour scheme, and we will try shapes, lengths and finishes together until we find the one that makes you smile. It also gives us time to adjust anything before the day.

Two to three days before

Your final appointment. Just far enough ahead that everything is perfectly set and photograph-ready, and close enough that your nails look immaculate walking down the aisle.

On the day and after

Gel wears beautifully for two to three weeks, so your nails stay lovely through the wedding and on into your honeymoon without a second thought.

Choosing the Right Look

Shape and length

Your hands will be in more photographs than you expect, from the rings to the bouquet to the cake. A soft almond or a gentle squoval flatters most hands and photographs beautifully. If you are not used to length, I would gently suggest going a little shorter than you think, so you feel comfortable all day.

Colour and finish

Soft nudes, milky pinks and classic French never date, and they sit quietly alongside your dress and rings rather than competing with them. If you would like something with more personality, a delicate accent nail or the finest hand-painted detail gives you that without overwhelming the look.

Matching your theme

I love tying a design gently to the day itself, a hint of your flowers, a nod to your colour scheme, or something meaningful known only to you. Bring your inspiration and we will make it yours.

Your bridal party

I am very happy to look after your bridesmaids, your mum and anyone else you would like to treat. Do mention it when you first get in touch so I can set aside enough time for everyone, and let you know if a deposit is needed for a larger group.
